Winter 2010

This winter has been incredible!  I’ve lived in Virginia for 20 years and I can’t remember any other winter where we’ve had this much snow and ice, although the winter of 1996 comes pretty close. This weekend’s snow storm has already produced record snow fall amounts in some parts of the Washington D.C. area and has crippled the region. I couldn’t let an opportunity like this pass by without taking some photographs, so I braved the frigid cold so I could capture Mother Nature at its best. Here are some of the photos I took.

Thanks Marcia! Indeed, the last photo is of the metro tracks leading to Eisenhower Metro station. I live in one of the buildings across from it. You would probably not recognize the area today. All the buildings in the photo were built in the last 2 years. I use to live in El Paso, TX when my family was stationed at Fort Bliss. I miss the intense sand storms.
